Meet Dr. Eric Wilkinson

Dr. Eric Wilkinson is originally from Tempe, Arizona and received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. His Otolaryngology residency was completed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and he completed his fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Wilkinson joined the staff of the House Ear Clinic following his fellowship training in 2008 and practiced there until joining the Idaho Ear Clinic in 2020.

Dr. Wilkinson has extensive clinical and research experience with Cochlear Implants (CI) and Auditory Brainstem Implants (ABI), and received funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a clinical trial of the ABI in children with inner ear malformations. He is a recognized expert in auditory implants and endoscopic ear surgery. In addition to ear surgery, Dr. Wilkinson has extensive experience with endonasal surgery to improve both nasal breathing and Eustachian tube function. Additionally, Dr. Wilkinson performs surgery to improve nasal function, structure, and aesthetics. He and his wife Gayle are the parents of 4 children.
